1. What different types of alarms do Multi-trade install?
We install wireless and hard-wired alarm systems. We will conduct a free on-site survey to discuss your requirements. We'll then recommend the best system for your property.
2. How long does it take to install an alarm?
Of course, that depends on the size of the property - but typically, a three bedroom house will take a day.
3. Will the work create a lot of mess?
Generally, installing an intruder alarm is not a particularly messy endeavour. However, we will try, as we always do at Multi-Trade, to minimise the disruption or inconvenience caused by the installation. Once we've finished we'll sweep and vaccum up any dirt if we've made any.
4. Can I set my burglar or intruder alarm at night?
Yes, of course. There are many dfferent settings available. So, for example, you can leave the ground floor alarmed and the first floor unset allowing you to walk around upstairs during the night. Essential if you have a weak bladder.
5. Do you offer a guarantee?
Of course, would you expect anything less from Multi-Trade?! We offer a 3 month guarantee on the system so whatever goes wrong with it - within reason (terms apply), we'll come and repair it. Every security product we sell has a 12 month manufacturer's warranty.
6. What is a monitored alarm system?
A monitored alarm is connected to a human populated, dedicated control centre which monitors the signal from the alarm in your property. If the alarm is activated, they will contact you and the police.
7. Are the alarms easy to use?
That's the key to a good alarm - a user friendly interface. Our alarms are user friendly and in most cases a 4 digit pin will set and re-set the system. A simplified user guide is provided but Multi-trade is always here to help, so call us if you have any issues.
8. Are your alarms sensitive to pets?
We're pet friendly at Multi-Trade! We can install you with pet-friendly sensors to allow your pet to move in front of the PIR (Passive Infr-red Detector) or red-eye without triggering the alarm. Just ask us before we install it!
