I am looking for reliable men to replace one side of my garden wooden fencing with brick wall. The covered area is 6 meters high and 1.8 meters high. If possible the preferable material is Ibstock Facing Brick Leicester from Travis Perkins (https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/Ibstock-Facing-Brick-Leicester-Red-Stock---Pack-of-500/p/883234) and darker colour of cement to be used, if possible. 3 support brick pillar(extra layer of brick) in between the wall is required. Please include in your quote with the cost of demolition and clearance fee for the current wooden fence. Much appreciate your attention and hope to hear from you soon.

Of course. Here are some details.  I'm around at home next Friday if you wanted to come and take a look. The plot measures 8.8m wide and 7.4 deep.  I've attached a rough sketch of what we're aiming for and some pictures.  We have some hard landscaping already done, the steps and the patio, done by a combination or our builders and ourselves. We also have some leftover materials from the extension we had built: cobbles which we're keen to re-use and some concrete paving slabs.

There are three sections of path we'd like to lay.  I've marked them on the plan.

1) the path to the gate - shown to the right on the plan.  We hoped to do these in the cobbles. 

2) the path from the shed to the lawn - which if there are enough - we'd like to do in cobbles. 

3) an area to store our BBQ when not in use.  - which we were planning to use two of the concrete slabs for 

 

And we'd like to lay a kidney shaped lawn.  It's a bit tricky to calculate the exact square footage because of the curves, but I'd say about 36m^2.   We were imaginign turf but our builder suggested ssed, because of the heavy clay in the soil.  I'd be interested in your views.

I am hoping you can help me. I am looking for a quote for the removal of our current single brick course wall and for the construction of a new front garden brick wall. We live in Ladywell and our property is approximately 9.5 meters wide, and we would require the wall to include a reasonable size car entrance (current one is too small) and pedestrian entrance.  We ideally would like 2 brick course wall, approximately about 1.2 metres high in total, with roughly half iron railing and half brick with stope coping. At this stage we are thinking we would like 4 x 3-brick wide pillars with stone coping and thinking about using reclaimed London yellow bricks.  As the wall will be replacing is a smaller wall, we?ll need to apply for planning permission. Attached are some photos of our current front garden brick wall.

Once the terms and conditions have been signed and the deposit for materials has been paid, your job will be given a start date. Generally speaking we will need a set of keys to allow access to the property. We will also arrange for a skip and a permit for waste. (Where possible - in Borough SE1 only the home owner can obtain a permit).

On the first day of work we start the process of removing the old garden and preparing the ground for the one. In London, many properties have no access to the rear garden without going through the house. We will have factored this into the quotation, as it will take longer - and need considerably more care to get the materials from the front of the property to the rear. Similarly, old soil, wood, plants, concrete and green waste may need to come from the garden to the front of the property into the skip.

Once the area is clear, the majority of the materials for the new garden will arrive. Valuable materials must be stored in the garden, where it is secure. It is not always possible to leave materials at the front of the property.
